The Los Angeles Times reported on a fatal shooting in Pasadena involving the brother of ex-Lakers star, Michael Cooper. Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert just after 4 a.m. and quickly identified 64-year-old, Mickey Cooper, deceased at the scene. Thanks to quick work by investigators, a person of interest in the incident was arrested just two hours later and has been charged with murder. “The threat of gun violence is a true danger, and the Pasadena Police Department is working diligently to get guns off the streets and out of the hands of those who intend to harm others,” Pasadena Police Chief Cheryl Moody said. The department will continue in its commitment to bring on extra patrols and intelligence gathering to combat this rash of shootings.”
