At my former agency, I was the lead on a homicide. I had suspect surveillance and CDR's associated to a burner phone. I was able to provide the surveillance to casino security in Primm, Nevada. They found the suspect at a gas station, which resulted in a license plate for a rental vehicle. This provided me with ALPR evidence of the vehicle near the crime scene before and after the homicide, as well as the name for the suspect through an LAPD citation the month prior.

Field Agent essentially places an analyst in the pocket of every operator. In public safety, the challenge is often not the lack of data, but the time required to turn that data into actionable intelligence. By allowing personnel to query operational information in natural language, Field Agent acts as a force multiplier that helps agencies make faster, more informed decisions when time matters most.

We’ve been using ShotSpotter successfully for years to improve our response time to shootings and save lives, and Rekor to provide accurate and rapid vehicle and license plate recognition to identify criminal suspect vehicles. The idea of more tightly integrating these two useful and proven products is compelling and can provide even better investigative insight for our department to prevent and solve crimes, ultimately supporting our mission to protect and serve the community.

Received a complaint of a sexual assault that occurred eleven years ago. Having only an old phone number and vague details about the suspect, I was able to use CrimeTracer to identify the suspect and link him to other victims.
