A terrifying mass shooting incident happened in Peoria. Five individuals — all teenagers — were shot in a residential neighborhood. ShotSpotter was the first to pick up the gunshots, with activations of 10 rounds and 19 rounds respectively. Enabling a rapid and potentially lifesaving police response, the alerts led to the identification of all five victims, including two individuals who were hospitalized in critical condition.
