Savannah’s violent crime dropped in 2021 and plan on keeping the trend in 2022

Savannah’s violent gun crime is down by 6% in 2021.  The Savannah Police Department plans to use its funding for community-based programs and the expansion of its ShotSpotter Program. “We’re expanding [ShotSpotter] to additional areas of the city that we think could benefit from that great program,” said Savannah Police Chief Roy Minter.
