In the second incident in its first week on the job, Pasadena’s new ShotSpotter gunfire detection system sent officers to the scene of a shooting Sunday afternoon where they found an injured victim. The ShotSpotter system detected and immediately reported 18 gunshots, Pasadena police Lt. Monica Cuellar said. Officers on patrol were instantly notified and arrived at the scene of the shooting within 60 seconds.
