According to KTLA, Pasadena police arrested a 63-year-old man responsible for causing over 150 unidentified explosions that occurred in the same area of the city over the past two years. Though most blasts went unreported, ShotSpotter technology enabled police to detect and investigate 14 recent incidents, linking the explosions to two vehicles registered to Berian. He was apprehended on May 16th shortly after detectives witnessed him allegedly detonating another explosive device. Berian faces three felony charges of explosives with intent to injure or intimidate.
