Rich Niven

Rich Niven is a Senior Investigator with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, currently assigned to Organized Retail Theft. Prior to joining the San Francisco DA’s Office, he served as an Inspector with the Felony Trials Team at the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office in Oakland, California, following his retirement from the Oakland Police Department. During his tenure with the Oakland Police Department, Rich held a variety of assignments in both supervisory and officer roles. His experience includes work in Ceasefire gang investigations, the Crime Reduction Team, Special Victims Unit, Special Investigations Unit, Targeted Enforcement Task Force, Problem Solving Unit, and Patrol.
